Hydrangea! The photo above is of some green hydrangea that Steven is running a product test on to assure it's quality for our customers. This flower is very popular. We use it in a lot of our designs and brides request them for their centerpieces all the time. I wanted to know more about this delicate yet full flower and this is what I found. It's origin is Japan. "Hydro" is Greek for water and "Angos" means vessel; so in short the name means "water vessel" which is true to it's nature because it does require a lot of water. This little pompom ranges in color based on the acidity of it's soil and can be found with varying textures as well. It is the official flower for a 4 year anniversary but it can be interpreted in other ways as well. Some say it is a symbol of vanity and boastfulness because of it's luxurious petals and others say it is a symbol of gratitude and understanding. No one can deny it has grace and beauty fit for any occasion and arrangement. A classic beauty that isn't going anywhere.
