What to do when there is nothing to do? Guess what, there is always something to do. Our wedding planner has a file that he keeps inquiries in. It's a solid way of keeping track of potential brides. The brides get emailed about once a week and we just check on them, see if they have selected a florist and if they are still interested in Victoria Park Flower Studio. I know first hand that if these emails don't go out; there are several brides we would have missed out on. This is something that gets over looked sometimes but it is important to the business. Next, "The Cleaning of Vases". It has to be done and someone has to do it. It is inevitable that our vase rack will fill up with used vases every week. We hands on clean and air dry each one. Nothing is wasted here, including time. I have personally put on my rubber gloves and scrubbed some vases just for the sake of having a full inventory to work with. What else is there? Checking emails, sweeping floors, making sure the front cooler arrangements are watered. There is always something to do.
