Oprah Winfrey has said ,"Whatever our dreams, ideas or projects, we plant a seed, nurture it and then reap the fruits of our labor." I am not sure where this little bud came from or who planted it or what it's future holds. I do know in this moment that when I paused to look closely and saw this little drop of color almost drowned out by the brown of the dirt and green of it's branches; I had to pause. I had to capture it because it is a representation of everything life is. We all need solid soil to dig our roots into. We need a supportive environment, where we can feel safe to be ourselves and grow into who we were meant to be. We all need time. Time to take and time to give out. This little flower has a ways to go on it's journey but from the look of it's branches, the hue of its shade and the richness of it's roots; it will hopefully be a journey I to get to enjoy as well.
