The following letter was sent to us from a child in Honduras. Our Steven Turner sponsors a child and goes there to teach design classes. Giving back to young men and women that do not have the same opportunities we have here in the states. Marvin Lopez writes;
" Hello everyone... I was born in a place where I had very minimal possibilities to study, possibly almost zero, I got my first values from my grandparents, with whom I was from one year old. When I reached eleven years of age I had the opportunity to reach the most incredible place, AHLE Foundation, a place full of life, full of hope and above all full of love. I always say "I am AHLE, because everything I really am is thanks to this foundation. Thank you Jay Herman, for believing in me, for giving me the opportunity to be someone in life, for turning me into a symbol of hope for many people around me. Thanks Cristina and Peter Addison for that unconditional support, for having a heart full of love and being part of my life.
AHLE Foundation, works thanks to the work at AJC and ACCION HUMANA, and under the administration of a person who is the best friend and whom I appreciate as my father and who makes everything work in the best way."
There are photos beyond photos that capture the essecnce of what this young man is saying. Steve works with AHLE to give the next genereation in Honduras a chance at a better life. No running water, homes the size of small kitchens and yet there is hope. As you read in Marvin's letter...there is always hope.
